The Threat (Andrew McCabe) Book Review - Should He Be Tried for Treason?

McCabe’s book ‘The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump’ seems to imply that the FBI is on the side of the American people - to protect them from a tyrant who ‘cheated’ the election and became President of the United States through ‘collusion’ with Russia. As the truth has come out, we now have a clearer picture of what McCabe and his co-conspirators were up to - to unseat a sitting President of the United States.

I don’t think I have the time to fully explain what has happened over the past two years - the FBI used the dossier, which was an opposition research document paid for by the Hilary Clinton campaign, as a basis to open an investigation into the President. They pedaled this phony dossier through the FBI and justice department in an attempt to frame the President. We know none if it was true. The dossier and the collusion were all fabricated.

That led to the special counsel when Jess Sessions recused himself, which he should not have done. And that’s exactly why he was fired - he didn’t stand up to these people. But the big issue here is with corruption within the FBI - should the United State’s top investigation bureau be allowed to take it upon itself to form a coup d’é·tat to overthrow a dually elected President? That’s the issue that’s not really getting talked about, and McCabe all but confessed to all of this in his 60 minutes interview.

This group of ‘crusaders' - McCabe, Clapper, and Brennan, and also allegedly Rosenstein (who denies wearing a wire to record the President) - sought to invoke the 25th amendment to remove the President - and not for physical inability, which is what the 25th amendment was designed to do.

I think if this happened in another country, these individuals would be facing treason charges. It is a serious thing to form a coup and undermine the top elected official in the country. That’s how our government works - the people elect. If a few individuals think they can overturn that at their own discretion, I don’t quite know how to call that anything else but treason.

The Book
Now McCabe’s book is rather bland honestly - it’s filled with lots of background about McCabe’s life as an FBI agent, how he became an FBI agent (how he was also fired from the FBI), different investigations he was involved in such as the Boston Marathon bombings, and his many other exploits and an agent.

What you won’t find in this book is the stuff I mentioned above - McCabe’s coup against the President. I think that’s what the American people want to hear about - not a bunch of history about McCabe’s life. American’s want to know if he did indeed lead a rebellion to undermine and destroy a rightfully elected President. Why? Because they just don’t like him. The United States is not a third world dictatorship. The people speak, and a group of self-righteous individuals who ‘know what’s best for America’ should go to jail if they try to overthrow a man the American people chose as their president.
